Console error after upgrade
« on: December 15, 2000, 06:36:52 PM »
Just did the upgrade to 4.01, very smooth, but I did get one error. I looked around and didn't find it here, or in the bug list, but I could be blind, or maybe it only happened to me. After the upgrade and after a reboot of the server (to fix something else) I got the following error:

"INIT: Id "1" respawning to fast: disabled for 5 minutes....(I can't remember the exact text)"

The problem was at line 1011 of the console script. I went and had a look and there was an unwanted "(" preceding the /dev/ttsy0 line. Removed the "(" and everything worked fine.

Now it's documented.

Not in my copy, it doesn't. Please send email to bugs@e-smith.com, and include the output of:

rpm -q e-smith-base
rpm -V e-smith-base

and the text in console before you made the change.

Thanks
