Topic: can not email out

I installed e-smith in dec. ver 4.01 and used dyndns.org and granitecaynon for dynamic dns.  I could send and received email.  something happened with granitecaynon and my server could not be found.  I changed to zoneedit.com and the server is working and I can receive email but can not send email.

My MX record is mail.mydomain.com to mydomain.com

and the cname
e-smith.mydomain to mydomain.dyndns.org
mail.e-smith.mydomain to mydomain.dyndns.org
etc.
 
any idea why I can not send email

I have noticed that using zoneedit as dns search servers is no good. I have had problems to. You can probably email to anyone that uses Zoneedit as their dns server. Try to email to me.

In Dec. we installed 2 servers with e-smith using granitecanyon for DNS.  The second server is a friend and we are both using now zoneedit.  I can not email him but he can email out.

His zoneedit record is different than mine. Because he is not using the e-smith server to receive emails.  The emails are forwarded to other emailShareef Huddle wrote:
