lo.

Here is my situation... I have a really nice setup e-smith server with a virtual domian of www.ogrady-net.co.uk pointing to my primary site.

This all works perfectly internally. I then decided I wanted to see if I could get it to work over the net. I went to www.easily.co.uk and bought the name www.ogrady-net.co.uk. In the easily control panel i went to 'Transfer Domain' and it asks me for the two nameservers of the computer i want to transfer it to... I have tried many combinations of my static ip address and my ogrady-net.demon.co.uk address but nothing seems to work :/

If i get this is all working am i able to create another virtual domain that points to an i-bay for site content in the same way?

Hi,
How do you connect to the net? Do you have a dialup or permanent connection? You probably need to look for something like URL masking or forwarding on the easily control panel and point it at http://your_static_IP_address You dont really need to change the IP numbers in the Transfer Domain section unless someone else is going to do the DNS for your domain.

I'm not so sure it is the best way but I solved this using granitecanyon free dns service.
www.granitecanyon.com
Take a look to the forum database to see if you can use your e-smith as a DNS (external)
