Building PHP on SUSE
« on: April 13, 2001, 06:48:22 PM »
Hello

I have a web-server running on e-smith with a fixed IP-address.

Now i have the need of modifying the PHP with xml2-support and something else.

As a development- and test-machine i have a SUSE 7.0, where i have all the development-tools.

Because this machine is my production-machine i don't want to modify it into a development-machine because of the systemintegrity (don't touch a running machine).

My Question:
Is it possible to use module and shared-libraries, which are compiled on the SUSE-machine, on my e-smith-server ?

Thank you for Your help

I don't know the answer to your question.  However, you might want to check out the RPMs at http://rpms.arvin.dk/php/, as they may include support for the options you need.
