Using ippp0 as dial out device

Hi,

after another week of trying to dial out with a passive ISDN-Card following the how-to and and trying an ISDN Modem as well I gave up on this matter.

Today I tried it with isdn4linux and the isdnctrl commands. With the commands i created a device called ippp0 and if I start my script manually I could dial out and use e-smith as a proxy.

My question is if there is an easy way to force e-smith to use this ippp0 device instead of a modem to dial out.

Just for your information:

- I could see the device ippp0 if i type in ifconfig
- I set a defaultroute on the device an d it is present if I type route

I hope this is half way to make e-smith dial out with  ISDN. As I am quit new to Linux maybe somebody has some hints how to make it work.

THX jens
