I am having a small problem with an e-smith 4.1.2
It is set up to run as a Server and Gateway, and connects on one interface to an ADSL router, and on the other to an office network.
Everything seems to be working fine, but when I changed the IP of the outside interface to match up with requirements of my ADSL provider the e-smith suddenly stopped resolving Domains.
I changed my windows DNS settings to a different DNS server, and my connection now works fine.
I also tried giving the e-smith server the same IP to resolve Domains with an external Nameserver. That seems to have made no difference.
When I grep /var/log/messages for "named" I get no unnusual error messages (as far as I can tell) and f.ex. no error messages for the past 6 hours (and I have tried to resolve a number of domains in that period).
I have tried whois, nslookup, and simple ping to domain names without succes.
The 2 domain names that the e-smith server specifically know about (it's own name, and a single virtual domain) resolve fine, but no external names resolve.
I have checked that the external nameserver responds to name queries (using nslookup), so that shouldn't be the problem.
Any ideas?
