ntpdate[ ]: no server suitable for synchronization found

Hi,

we are running an E-smith 4.1.2 behind a permanent ADSL Internet connection and ntpd is enabled to do it's time synchronisation.
That was working "forever" but today it started as follows:

May 15 19:12:10 tga1 ntpd[22997]: synchronisation lost <-- that's normal AFAIK
... but now ...
May 15 19:29:14 tga1 ntpd[22997]: recvfrom() fd=4: Connection refused
May 15 19:31:21 tga1 ntpd[22997]: recvfrom() fd=4: Connection refused
May 15 19:32:27 tga1 ntpd[22997]: recvfrom() fd=4: Connection refused
May 15 19:33:31 tga1 ntpd[22997]: recvfrom() fd=4: Connection refused

That continues, even after restarting ntpd. I am not aware (actually I am sure) that I didn't make any E-smith server changes at all?

First I thought the time server that I was pointing to might be down so I changed over to a differnet one but that was the same result. Then I suspected the firewall rules (why changed, an intruder maybe?) but they look good to me (Sorry, no ipchains expert here):

    /sbin/ipchains -A input -p udp -s 203.97.33.5 -d 0/0 123 -j ACCEPT

Any ideas/help?

Regards,
Michael Doerner
