Topic: admin user directory

In order to get domain logons to work properly with the admin user, I had to manually change the owner and group of the /home/e-smith/files/user/admin/home directory.  I'm wonder if there is any action that e-smith (4.1.2 with updates) might envoke that would reset it back to it's original settings (root)?  If there is, what should I change?  Just thought I'd ask before i go digging.
