using esmiht 4.1 I am trying to use ssh.
Using putty and mindterm I can get in using ssh1 and ssh2 with passwords. I can also get in via ssh1 and public key. To do this I made the file /root/.ssh/authorized_keys and put the root.pub in it (the public keyfiles form user root)
This works fine. But when I make a ssh2 keyfile and add it to this authorized_key file it does not work. Any ideas?
Also I am wondering if this is the best way to get pop-mail encrypted to and from the box? I am using ssh because i hope, havent tested it yet, that I can forward mail to and from another box on my network. This way I can ssh into my e-smith gateway and get emial from an internal server.
Can anybody tell me if this would work or if I am chasing ghost here?
