Are there any issues I need to be aware of if I compile a new kernel?
The reason I need to do this is because the ftape module that comes
stock with redhat will not accept the fdc_internel parameter for the
Exabyte TR-3 Eagle Nest accellerator card. I know it will work with
the ftape distribution, but I need to re-compile the kernel without the
builtin ftape module.
Any response regarding this will be greatly appreciated.
