Topic: Set up a second ip number

I want to set up a second ip nummer (alias), But by the installation i can only fill in one ip-adres, I have one nic installed.

I want to set an IP-nummer 10.10.20.100 with a default gateway 10.10.20.40  and i want to set an IP -alias 212.29.172.100 with a default gateway 212.29.172.1

How Can i Do that  i really don't know where e-smith put his configuration files
