Has any ever worked with the Plesk Admin -- www.plesk.com -- will it work with an e-smith server?  If so how did the implementation and support work out for you?

Well, I've never worked with it, but from what I know of e-smith and what I've seen on the Plesk page, I think it'd be a bad idea.  e-smith 4.1.2 is based on RedHat 7.0, so Plesk would probably install OK, and quite possibly even run OK.  However, you'd likely see pretty much the same problem as arises with Webmin--Plesk won't know anything about the e-smith configuration database or template files, so any changes it makes are likely to be overwritten by e-smith (or worse, leave the system in a partially-unusable state).

I use webmin to admin MySQL on my e-smith box. It works fine and there is no problem with conficts with e-smith.
I don't touch the IMP tables.
I don't use Webmin to touch *anything* else on the box.
I just happen to like Webmin better than myphpsql (or whatever it's called ).

Plesk is great, but do not install it on anything but a clean system. It installs apache/php/mysql etc, why would you want to do this on an e-smith server?
Plesk is more for hosting
