The problem, quite simply, is that the configuration of xxx.com is wrong.  You need to configure your system with xxx.dyndns.org as the host name.  If you also own xxx.com, and it's aliased to xxx.dyndns.org, then you'd add xxx.com as a virtual domain.

I know your help wasnt directed to me but.....
Cheers for that, my dyndns is up and running now, i had (like you said) forgotten to include the alias dyndns.org in my domain name.
Another problem I was pleased to find fixed, was even though my service provider uses a proxy for my web (unknow to me) until I signed up with dyndns it showed my ip to be completely different to my dynamic ip given by my ISP, it works !!..
I have just swapped from freesco to e-smith and have found the client for dyndns works very well compared to the "ball-ache" of messing around editing files to get it sorted in freesco, I still love freesco, but Im beginning to like e-smith with a passion..
BUT, cant the e-smith group except "donations" for limited support ? Like dyndns does Instead of the hefty $500 !! .. ?
I would think a lot more people would pay up for some good straight forward answers.. for example: a tutorial on forwarding ports and masquerading. (made easy) in e-smith..??
