Tyrone,

I appreciate your detailed "How To" but that still
does not answer my question.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you are basically
using Zoneedit'd Servers to provide DNS and not your
your own ESSG server and static IPs.  In other words,
you are dependent on Zoneedit's DNS service to direct web inquiries
to your servers.  I thought ESSG in server and gateway mode
should take care virtual domain hosting.

That is, when I do a WHOIS on your domain name,
Zoneedit's static IP's come up and NOT YOURS.
Can't you have ESSG provide hosting for all your domain
names WITHOUT using anything like Zoneedit or Mydomain.com's
services?

Please let me know if I need to clarify.

Lee

PS.
I know there are some gotcha's with using
ESSG (like an email account is not unique among virtual
domains), but fundamentally serving HTML pages among
ESSG and many virtual domains should not need Zoneedit, correct?

The e-smith box does take care of virtual domain hosting.  It does NOT handle DNS hosting, whether for the primary domain or for virtual domains, to the outside world.  Period.
