The apartment manager at my building has expressed interest in becoming an ISP by sharing his DSL connection. We have been trying a Linksys DSL router but have been less than pleased with the results not so much because of NAT but because computers keep vanishing from network nieghborhood. My concern is about NAT because when I sat down behind this guys computer I saw a collection of chat programs to rival tu-cows. I scribbled some of them down and if any has any experiance with any of them let me know. A simple "no/maybe/yes" it will work will be enough to ghet me started. Here are a few: Netmeeting, Yahoo Instant Messaging, Paltalk, KIM, Hear Me, and Fire Talk. Any feedback would be helpfull.
