I made it all of the way to the 2nd to last step is installing my gallery. I have configured the gallery via "myserver/gallery/setup". I get this error message once completing:

Error: Directory /home/e-smith/files/ibays/gallery/html/albums does not exist. Please create it.

This directory does indeed exist. Before configuring I did a 'chown www albums' to no avail.

Any ideas?

OK, that prblem is resolved. On the setup screen there was an extra space after 'album' I took the space off, and all is good. Now my issue is with this:

I am trying to create a new photo gallery, and upload pictures. I choose the images to upload, and do so. After the images have been uploaded, the web page displays only boxes with little red x's in the corner (like the picture does not exist)

Any help will make me a very happy guy.

Double check that your path's are correct. I ran into this once when I registered a domain for the site.

For example www.e-smith.com/mygallery/albums/...
is not the same as www.mygallery.com/albums

Does this gallery pretty it up?

Thanks.
