Open Ports on Server

Hi All,

I connect via Telstra's Bigpond Cable to the internet. I clean loaded a PC with E-Smith 4.1.2 and installed the necessary files (following the bpalogin how-to) to be a gateway / simple firewall between the internet and my desktop.

Connection's fine. However, when I went to grc.com to do a Port Scan, it found a number of ports open on the public internet side which raised a few question marks such as FTP, SMTP, HTTP, IDENT and HTTPS. As there are 2 network cards in the e-smith PC and I have set any settings I could find in e-smith-manager to private or no-access, I am wondering how to go about closing these ports on the external interface ?

TIA.

Casey
