Topic: POP3 email problems

Hi everyone,
I cannot get my pop3 email to work, I have entered my ISP pop address as the secondary mail server ( i have also used the TCP/IP address as well as the name), I have set email retreival to multi drop (also tried ETRN) and e-smith dials out OK, receives my mail (checked e-mail reports in e-smith manager) but when I try to collect it with outlook express I am told that there are no new messages, I have also tried outlook 2000 and Pegagus mail. I have set my email account pop and smtp accounts to the TCP/IP address of my e-smith server in these clients, I have tried pop and imap accounts. Also I am unable to see any internal netwrok mail. Please help as this is my last but one hurdle to getting e-smith right.

how have you got OE configured to receive email? is it set to retrieve from e-smith or from you isp? and if it is set for e-smith how?

you need to add a dns search suffix to your windows boxes and you will be able to collect your pop3 email via outlook express without having to set any settings on your esmith box whatsoever
