still haven't fixed the problem with qmail if anyone out there has successfully configured e-smith to accept mail via virtual domains then can someone e-mail me their config the web site that hosts the config for setting up e-mails with virtual domains is down i hope it has nothing to do with the mess that happened on 9/11

This appears to be the first message in the thread so it's hard to
help you without more info.
e-smith certainly will accept mail for virtual domains
provided that mail is directed to it in
the first place.  ie the MX record for the relevent domain points
to the static IP or hostname of your e-smith server.
You can use the mail logs (look in the web manager for the mail
analysis tool) to find out reasons for delivery failure and
the headers of bounced messages to pinpoint your problem.
