I suspect I know thw answer to this already, but here goes...

Using Outlook Express with e-smith's IMAP email, the Rules options do not show the IMAP folders. Am I correct in assuming this is because the mail is held on the server, and that procmail would need to be used instead?

If this is the case, can any procmail guru comment on its ease of use for non-technical users?

I think so.. some people told me to use procmail though I didnt test it for the moment

I think you can find an E-Smith procmail contrib and you'll have some howto with it... can help more sorry
