Topic: IMP won't work overseas ??

Hi,

I have an e-smith 4.1.2 as my company server and it is the best thing since sliced bread, so much so that I wanted to give some of my friends overseas web-mail access as they find Hotmail et al. a pain. Having used the IMP webmail around town and up and down the country (NZ) with no problems, I thought they would be fine to use it from overseas but it seems that most of the time they are getting time-outs when they try to access the web-mail site. I have an ADSL connection so speed is no issue and they are PC savvy people as well.
So why is it that IMP access will not work when trying from overseas ? I suspect some issue with routers and timeout settings (within IMP) but not sure where to start on this. Has anyone encountered similar issues ?
