I have recently moved our box to a e-smith 4.1.2 box.
There are lots of things we like about 4.1.2 eg php,mysql,webmail etc.
But I have a DNS problem:
Our old machine was running redhat 5.2 and we hosted our own domain (eg
www.myschool.edu) a static IP (say 1.2.3.4) and permanent modem connection. We also ran our own mail server (Q-mail). This box had a Secondary DNS being our ISP - ns1.telstra.net with the IP 139.130.4.5 and also had a secondary mailserver postoffice.telstra.net.
Now Since I have configured the e-smith 4.1.2 box I cannot see how to configure the criteria above and consequently our site is no longer reachable on
http://www.myschool.edu but only on http://1.2.3.4
Could anyone suggest how I can setup the e-smith box so that the DNS is operating correctly?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
BTW I have looked at the Publice DNS server posting in the contributed HOWTO's but I am unable to modify it correctly.
