Topic: php upgrade how-to on v5

I am trying to do the php upgrade so I can run gallery.  when I try to install the rpms  I get the following error message


libcrypto.so.0   is needed by mod_php-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh6.2
libssl.so.0   is needed by mod_php-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh6.2
libcrypto.so.0   is needed by php-imap-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh6.2
libssl.so.0   is needed by php-imap-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh6.2
liblber.so.1   is needed by php-ldap-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh6.2
libldap.so.1   is needed by php-ldap-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh6.2

I downloaded the latest rpms per the howto 4.0.6.10


Any help would be great.

You downloaded the wrong versions of the RPMs; you used the ones linked from the e-smith 4.1.2 version of the howto.  They're built for RedHat 6.2/7.0, not for 7.1.  Use the files linked from http://www.familybrown.org/howtos/php-upgrade-howto-2.html instead.

You really should put a link on the 4.1.2 howto to the 5.0  It would help avoid confiusion for others.
