PostNuke Modules

Greetings,

I am trying to get modules, Any modules, that are not part of the original PostNuke package to work on my server. PostNuke works great on it and all it's modules work as well. However, when I try and make a non-PostNuke module work on it, it fails.

I chown, chgrp, and chmod the modules files to match the Originals, follow all the instructions, but to no avail.

What am I doing wrong? I would think that after 2-3 weeks of hammering on this, it would work by now.

BTW, when I install PostNuke on my Mandrake box, all the modules drop in just fine. I am lost as to what the difference is...

Thanks in advance for the help.

Quite honestly, post-nuke has many problems on many distros, try myphpnuke.

What modules aren't working for you? I have PostNuke running on SME with many modules and haven't experienced any problems. There are some non-standard, and not for PostNuke modules, that could definitely be causing you problems. Also, which version of PostNuke are you running? If you are using Rogue (0.7?) there may be some that don't work there yet.

The best way to get tech support for postnuke is to go to the live tech support rooms. A number of developers and non-developers run e-smith successfully. BTW, the support room is staffed 24-7.
