Good morning all,
I wanted to install 4.1b3 on an old box and ran into to following hickups.
Motherboard is an oldish type without USB or CDROM boot capability.
When installing with the (updated (.../updated/boot.img)) floppy, it hung.
Looking at tty3 output, it tries to detect an USB mouse, and then kindly informs me that it is safe to reboot..
First step was to add mouse=none to the kickstart file, but that did not help.
I finally got around it by doing an 4.0 install first. Then I copied the upgrade kickstart file form the 4.1 cd to my boot flop, renamed it to ks.cfg ( too lazy to really figure out why it did not go, I guess) and rebooted.
This time the install/upgrade ran without a hitch.
for the rest, so far so good!
