Topic: VIM enhanced features

I'm working on learning PHP and am interested in using the syntax highlighting features of VIM. However, it would appear that the version shipped on 5.1b does not have the syntax option compiled in. I've checked the VIM site, but can't get the information I'm looking for... Do I need to download a different version (I've already downloaded the vim-enhanced RPM and installed it, but that didn't seem to make a difference)?

Start vim and type ':help syntax' which should guide you through how to use it.
