Is there a website or help/howto for making a custom ISO CD.  I want to make changes and add updates, etc.

I just tried your CD ISO how to at:

and wasn't really that impressed with it.  There are errors in it (you need to make a directory for your boot.cat, for example).

On top of that, I can't find the correct version of anaconda and anaconda-runtime files.  Please provide a link for those files + any other dependent rpms.

And what version of mkisofs are you using??... because when I try your command, I get a list of options for mkisofs... go figure.  It fails right there.

Could you explain how to modify the kickstart files...

Hi Harvey,

  The howto works exactly as expected in a ESSG 4.1.2

  You don't need to create a boot.cat directory, it's created in the mkisofs command.

  We use a RH 7.1 for development. Both Anaconda packages are 7.1-5 version. mkisofs is 1.9-6 version.

  We know it doesn't work in a SME Mitel server, but as we don't have one we dont plan to make a howto about it.

  If you think you need more help, just read Red Hat CD Howto, sure is longer but will work for you.

  Also I have not modified the kickstart file. Maybe a vistit to RH website will help you.

  BTW, it might be because I'm not english spoken, but sure a little more politeness would help. Just a comment. We have tried, we know it works in ESSG 4.1.2. If you need more help, RTFM or ask in an educated way.

Hi Jaime

I am following your howto and have run into what I am sure is a small hurdle --

I tried to install the anaconda packages from my rh7.1 cd but essg told me that they did not appear to be rpms ?? go figure

so I downloaded the same versions from rpmfind and then I got a whole list of dependency problems for anaconda ???

I installed using --nodeps and it went in ....will it still work ??

Are you installing on a RH 7.1 machine?

  We use RH 7.1 as our development machine, no ESGS You should install anaconda in your development system.
