Hello,

    I am wanting to backup my SME v5 server to a tape drive.

What tape drives will work with SME v5.

Will 5.1 support more types of tape drives?
if so, is there a date when the 5.1 will be release?
and what tape drives will be supported?

The seagate 220000A IDE hornet tape drive will work with e-smith.  I have bought one and waiting for it to arrive.  I have been onto the e-smith compatibiity list and seagate is listed.  There is also a contributed HOWTO of how to get it to work with the e-smith server
