Greetings everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has gotten the latest ASUS TUSI-M motherboard and onboard LAN to work with SME 5.1B3/4.  I've just fired up a new computer.  Console config finds the LAN as a SIS 900 driver, which is correct, but after completing config 'ifconfig eth0' reports:

eth0: error fetching interface information: Device not found

If anyone has this board working, please let me know.  Currently I've tried SME 5.1B3 and B4 with the same error results.

Regards,

Luciano Terra

I have an ECS motherboard with the same onboard lan and had the same trouble with Mandrake and Suse. A google search turned up a lot of people with the same problem. The answers I saw entailed downloading a new driver and adding support to the kernel. My solution was to disable it and install a $10 nic with a Realtek chipset.Darrell May wrote:
