I pulled the following infomation out of a previous post. I am having the same issue as both of the people, and I dont see a fix for this on any of these forums.
I was installing 4.1.2 on a fresh system with 2 4Gig drives, one of the drives is set as Primary on IDE 0, and my CD rom is slave to that drive. I then have another 4Gig drive that is Primary on the secondary channel with no secondary drive. I am getting the following message when I try to install 4.1.2 with software Mirroring, RAID 1.
"activating swap partitions: /dev/md2 swap on /dev/md2: Invalid arguement"
I have also tried using the 5.1 beta, and I get the same result. I have also tried slaving the drives off eachother on the same IDE channel, I have even tried different drives with the same results. any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have also checked in the bios and the hard drives are set to Normal instead of LBA or auto.
