Help required with keyboard map
« on: February 01, 2002, 04:00:51 PM »
I just got a lovely little keyboard that sits quite nicely on top of the monitor i have on my server, only problem is that a lot (most) of the symbols are in the wrong place using the default keyboard map on e-smith (using 5.1.2).

The keyboard is a Cherry 4100 (http://www.pos-warehouse.com/cherry4100.htm) and I wondered if anyone knows of a suitable map for it and can tell me how to set it up on my box.

BTW, the keyboard is excellent and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a miniature keyboard.

I use one of these, although I think its price is outrageous, bu the problem is simply that it is a UK keyboard and the default setting in e-smith is a US keyboard map. The simplest answer is to learn where the symbols actually are and live with it, but I'm sure the corrct keyboard map could be specified in the configuration files.
