If this question in not appropiate for this forum please ignore. I am attempting to setup an e-smith server, as a dedicated host and file/print server. I also want to vpn out to another e-smith server with a dedicated connection to the internet. This is my thought.
1. connect the cisco 675 dsl router to a port on a high speed switch-1 (10/100).
2. connect both e-smith nics to the switch-1. one with static ip one with a non routeable as host.
3. connect vpn work station to switch-1 with static ip and gateway ip.
4. connect uplink port on switch-1 to uplink port on switch-2
5. connect 5 W9X workstations with e-smith DHCP provided IPs to switch-2.

The objective is to provide normal e-smith ip/mas internet access for the 5 workstations and vpn access directly through the 675 cicso router for the single WS on switch-1.

I am going to give it a go but any thoughts would be appreciated.

TIA :-)
