IPSEC/FREESWAN locks server

Hi all

I've got a tunnel open between One SME 5 and one E-smith 4.12 server (Samba upgraded).  I can ping the IP from one to the other but I can not see the remote network, FTP or SSH.

The second thing that happens is that the Host server locks after about 5 mins, it does not effect the remote server.

When I reboot, the boot up screen stops at IPSEC but the server continues to load in the backgroud.  The server comes up, but the boot screen tells me its still loading IPSEC.  Then the server locks and I have to start the process again.

The only way to stop this is to remove the IPSEC settings and local network settings from the remote server.

Any thoughts.

I experienced this on sme 5.0.  Just wait a very long time and your server should start.  This problem occurred when I had incorrectly setup IPSEC.  Once IPSEC was up and working, it did not pause during a startup.  Hope this is helpful.
