POP Account Alias

POP Account Alias
« on: February 14, 2002, 08:04:09 PM »
I am going through my dial up ISP and wish to alias that account such that it is delivered into my personal mailbox on my local net instead of to the administrator.  I am using multi-drop, as that appears to be the only option they offer at the moment.  Currently I am getting all of my ISP mail through my admin account, but I would like to reserve that specifically for administrative purposes instead of redirecting all of the admin mail to a user.  How can I do this with SMS Server 5.1.2?  (Pseudonyms and Groups just don't seem to do work for this, as after creating them all of the ISP mail is still delivered to admin).

Thanks so much for any help!  What a wonderful server!

FWIW, I have used fetchmail via http://perso.wanadoo.fr/mcas/fetchmail.html for quite awhile (on 4.1.2 - looks like it should work under 5 as well). It's quite simple and works OK for a home situation.
