Hosting MOH game on PC connected to SME

OK guys I know this is not a 'serious' matter' but what if...

1. You have a bunch of yelling kids wating to do this.
2. A wife that's calling me name for 'I know about computers' and can't do it..
3. I'm getting curious myself  :-)

Here's the pain, I want to be able to host the game Medal Of Honor on one of the XP machine on my network. SME 5.1.3 is the boss here directly connected to cable modem.

I saw that there are ports to be forwarded so i did, but no luck (ipchains -L -M shows Gamespy and others 'polling' but no hosting is possible)

At the game communicty there's talk about 'enable your modem's DMZ feature' BUT i have Mitel SME! as a gateway first.... (yeah Linux and not windows)

So who can help me to get this done. The kids and my wife will like me again if you help me... :-)

Thanks in advance.

RequestedDeletion,
Try getting him to host the game, and you join his game thru the server. I play 'Warbirds 3' (onliune WW2 flight sim) regularly. I have also played hosted civilisation games but couldn't host the myself.
This should fix the prob..unless his cokputer is too weak to host it.

Sorry i can't be of more help.

Hi Brad,

Thanks for your reply.

The point is that I have to host the game on one of my win boxes. Connecting to a host onthe internet is no problem. But hosting a game BEHIND a SME server is.

I tryed portforwarding but no luck. There is more to be doen.
Looking through the MOH forums I sea only advise concerning 'activating DMZ' in the DSL modem, which I don't have. I'm using cable.

Anyway, the question still stands:
How can I enable SME to let a win-box on my LAN be a internet game host.
