Topic: I dont want smp but it installs it anyway

I just intsalled on a pentium 4 machine.  When it reboots i have to manually select esmith up otherwise it picks the multiprocessor kernel which doesnt work it freezes
how do i change this?  I edited the lilo.conf in the templates and in the etc directory and it doesnt seem to help

Don't forget to just type:

lilo

at the command prompt.  That takes your changes "really" applies them to the LILO.
