I have been running SME 5.0v3 for a number of months now (I have a number of i-bays and virtual domains). Today I have have opened it up for remote FTP access to receive business information downloads
I have enabled public ftp user access and created an account to be used for external ftp access (in its own group) and am testing it using that username and password. Everything appears to work - account access is enabled for the external user and no access is provided for any of the i-bays HOWEVER it appears that the external account can read and write to my primary website!!!
Is this normal? How can I prevent it?
P.S. I am accessing the server over the local network but from what I can tell this should not make any difference.
Any help greatly appreciated.
