I have installed an SME v512 in a remote site that connects to the main site via dialup. Internet access from the main site it provided by MS proxy (intranet access bypasses the MS proxy).
I would like users at the remote site to be able to bypass the MS proxy for intranet sites and authenticate to the MS proxy for internet access (just like the users at HQ). I have setup e-smith with the MS proxy in the config, but access to intranet sites requires MS proxy authentication. Even if I set the browser to bypass the proxy for local addresses, I'm still prompted for a logon. What am I doing wrong?

BTW, I have set the head office DNS server in the SME configuration.
