Hi Tom,

I run MYOB from a file share on SME 5.1.2 with no problems so far, touch wood ! (was running on ESSG 4.1.2, SME 5.0 Update 3 previously before upgrading to 5.1.2).

I would be interested to learn more about what sort of corruption you are getting (just in case I come across something similar).

Hi,
We use premier 5.1, I don't have a corupted database (I just ran the optimiser to check) but we did have to revert to SME version 5 with updates.
I tried to run 5.1.2 for about 7 working days but the system became so slow that MYOB would give either termination code error 1266 or 1234.
It wasnt just MYOB, we had problems with anything that access a data file stored on the server. The really frustrating thing was the problems were random, sometimes it worked sometime it didnt.
All seems fine on SME 5 and we ran for 12 mths on 4.12 without problem.

I'de be very carefull using 5.12 as a production server at the moment, the forums are getting a lot of problem posts regarding 5.12.

How many users do you have simultaneously accessing your respective databases ? I thought there was a problem with oplocking if more than about 5 people are in a DB at the same time.

I'm running Myob on our network with up to 3 or 4 users accessing the db at once as well as some File maker Pro DB's and we haven't had any problems on 5.0.3 (apart from the windows clients crashing every so often and stuffing up the lock file)
