Topic: Map SME Shares in XP

Running SME V5, with 3 XP Clients. Multiple i-bays used as shared drives. 2 of the XP clients happily map the share each time they are logged on. The 3rd XP client, shows Network drives could not be connected. Put in user's password, and all shares are available. Setup of XP clients same. Any suggestions ?

I have Win95/98 clients logging in using netlogon.bat and
mapping H: as there home directory (users ibay) and also
S: as ibay=codata

If you read further there is info for Win2K which I am guessing
may work with XP !

take a look in /var/log/samba/log and nmb.log to see whats going on. if you can you might want to do something like

tail -f *

do this in the samba log folder to see the log files (info in them) when you map the drives to see the error pop up. Beauty of  this method is you can try to fix it and then try agai (and watch the info in the log files).
