Is there a way to have an option in the web manager to turn an adsl connection on or off just like the isp connection for dial up accounts. my customer has only a 300mb /month account and so wishes to control when the connection is up or down

I think (I'm not sure) ,
In the console type adsl-setup and you have select an on demand connection.
To try.

if the adsl is on the ethernet
ifdown ethx
where x is 0 or 1.
This will down the network interface, therefore stopping any internet traffic.
Crude, but works.
and to bring it back up
ifup ethx
