Howto: open ports

I am using a maillist verify program (advanced maillist verify - www.mailutilities.com). Some of my e-mails cannot be checked and I was told to open port 25 TCP and port 43 UDP.

Where can I open these ports? Should they be included in one of the templates? If yes, in which template and how?

port 25 is open by default in sme server, but incomming mail is filtered before being accepted to reduce spam.

hello guys,

I have demon.* as teh ISP, and their servers will kick any arrived mail via port 25 [smtp] whenever my internal server is logged on ..  this has worked great [Postfix or Sendmail]. In trying the SME server, it [Qmail] does not appear open on port 25, so I no longer receive mail this way, although fetchmail is set for multidrop and that seems to work.
However, it i smuch more restrictive, and I would like to use the mail-kick feature of my ISP.

How can I make the mail server listen and receive on [incoming] port 25 ? Any help much appreciated ..
