I am by no means a Linux professional or guru, but if I were to investigate how to do this I would think it may be done by setting a group quota and assigning a group owner to that share. When the user paths to that directory you could assign permissions so it sets the group id when the user paths to that share, which would then enforce the group quota.
Just my thoughts. I have no idea if this would work or if I am even heading down the right path.
