Topic: APC UPS monitoring via USB

Hi Darrell / Fillippo / All,

I've used the APC UPS monitoring add-on as per the How-to before in the past with success via the serial interface. However, a number of newer models from APC only comes with a USB interface. Is there a version of the monitoring add-on that will work with these newer USB only UPS models (or perhaps I missed something in the existing one that will work with them) ?

apcupsd 3.9.8 beta has usb support (not tested by me).
But kernel 2.2 could be a problem.
Drop me a note if you can't build apcupsd 3.9.8 and I'll do it for you to test.
