Windows IMAP client errors
« on: May 17, 2002, 08:32:38 AM »
I hope that I am not repeating other posts, and that someone is able to assist me with my mail configuration. I cannot seem to inject messages into the mail server from my IMAP client. I get the following message from outlook express when I attempt to send a message:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was ''. Subject 'tester', Account: ' - Mail', Server: '..net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 Mail from to prohibited from your location (UNKNOWN@
It seems that the message has been sent from the client domain rather that the server domain. Do I have to set up a virtual domain for each client machine on the local network in order to send mail from network clients using IMAP e-mail clients? or is my client configuration sus?

I can send mail ok using the webmail interface but would prefer using outlook or a windows IMAP client.

Any advice appreciated.
