How do I configure my keyboard to be french/azerty ?

Login as root on the console.

Go to /usr/sbin/.

With kbdconfig (usr/sbin/kbdconfig) you can change the keyboard settings to the french/azerty keyboard.

good to have picked up this thread...yes that solves the keyboard problem ...but going a bit further (as we I'm translating all the pearl text stuff into italian) is it possible to have the accents over characters in italian (and french too) in perl text, eg watch these characters...@ ò ç à ° è é ù ' ^     most of them are not possible to be written in perl (definately i do not know how) so anyone haveing perl experience in italian or french characters please let in the tricks...
