Where is the autoboot.bat file and directory on the newer version of e-smith.

The boot.img disk doesnt seem to be working, it bombs out saying that it "cannot locate the kickstart file in /tmp".

Anyone have pointers??

read the instructions
you should create start disks first with rawrite utility

I have the same problem with the "cannot locate the kickstart file in /tmp" error message. (see my "Install Problems" post).

The Install file (in the root of the CD) tells me:
...
Once you have successfully burned the CDROM, if your system is modern and
can boot from CDROM, can be used to boot the system and start the installation.
If your system does not support booting from CDROM, you will need to create
a boot floppy diskette.  The boot floppy diskette can be created from the
CDROM. Under Linux, the commands are:
...

However, being desparate, I created a boot image (boot.img) but that also didn't help.  After typing accept and pressing Enter, I get "Loading initrd.img..." followed by "Boot failed.  please change disks and and press a key to continue"

something isnt working with your disk
did you follow instructions of rawrite?
try creating another disk but if it still fails you should double check procedures
