Creating NS1 & NS2 mydomain.com

I have figured out how to add IP addresses to my NIC card and also figured out how to bind ports tothose addresses. Does anyone know what ports/services need to be available on my machine so that when I register NS1 & NS2.mydoamin.com it will work correctly ?
I am using my E-Smith 5.1.2 as a web server. I have a block of IP to work from. I delegated to of these IP's to being NS1 & NS2. I am at the point now where I am unsure as to what needs to be running on my machine so that when requests come for some domain my machine will know what to do.
I realize this is really a newbie question (Which I am) and also this question may be better asked in another forum elsewhere. I figured where better oto ask than the forums for the server I am running.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to define what all services you want the public to access. If you are only enabling web, then port 80. If you wanted HTTPS (for secure email) then you need to enable 443. To enable pop/smtp email enable 110 and 25.
