Hi,

It's my understanding that the freeswan contrib at http://myezserver.com/downloads/mitel/
does not work for sme5.5.  Has a new freeswan yet been adapted for 5.5 or are there plans for a new freeswan?

I am also interested in a freeswan update for 5.5.

It appears to me that public support for how-tos and contributed rpms in this forum are less than previous versions of e-smith/sme.  If this is accurate, why?  Have all the top guru's started their own sites to sell their unique additions?  Or are people less interested in SME?  Have other linux distros become more popular?

Hi,

i just try aound with Darrell´s freeswan on SME 5.5.

First of all delete all defined VPN´s and uninstall dmc-mitel-freeswan-0.4-12.noarch.rpm with
  rpm -e dmc-mitel-freeswan-0.4-12

- Delete the directory /usr/lib/ipsec
  rm -r -f /usr/lib/ipsec
- Link the NEW directory /usr/local/lib/ipsec to /usr/lib/ipsec
  ln -s /usr/local/lib/ipsec /usr/lib/ipsec
- Reinstall dmc-mitel-freeswan-0.4-12.noarch.rpm

Now you can define your VPN´s, but i didn´t test the connection yet.
Somewhere i read that the compression must be disabled in your "_updown" script.

If some one habe furter info´s please post here.
