Topic: W2k Pro joining Domain

I have set e-smith to be the Domain Master.  I am able to get Windows 98 PCs to join the Domain but not Windows 2000 Pro PCs.

Under Windows 2000, I am asked for a user name and password to join the Domain - I have tried root & admin (the Windows user admin has administrator rights on the local machine).

The error message is: "The credentials supplied conflict with an existing set of credentials"

Can anyone help?

it sounds like one of your other computers is using the same user name.

create a user one your e-smith server and then and then on your nt machine log in as that user
